i don't know if you heard about the big nike sale at solebox, a couple of weeks ago. they had all nikes on sale, even the latest releases and rarities! Rumours about beef between solebox and nike circulated but nobody had a clue about what's going on. now solebox issued a statement on their blog. this is what they say:
"Dear customers, companies, competitors and friends.
We were confronted in the last time often with the question which problem between Solebox and Nike is existing. Our Answer: Nothing. Everything is alright from our side. It seems, that somebody at Nike Germany have a problem with Solebox. The reason seems to be that we do not want to do without the other companies on the market. The first feedback from this person was to exclude us from the Limited Editions distribution. After asking why and some argumentation on both sides, the final result ended in a total sanction of Nike products in form of delivery delay/stop for all Nike items we ordered. As Sneaker Lovers we do not want to miss any of these brands in our portfolio like: Adidas, Asics, Lacoste, New Balance, Puma, Reebok, Onitsuka Tiger, Vans and others. Especially we do not like to be forced to this. Even sanctifying us in form of suspension of deliveries and hindrance of using the business portal Nike.net will not change this. This behaviour is more than questionable. And we are sure, it is NOT in the interest of Nike, but rather maybe the subjective acting of one person. It is a total misuse and unprofessional acting of the position held. We are sure, that Nike is never afraid of any competition. Competition is a constructive factor of the whole market.Thank you all for your understanding, that we will not pass on any brands. Even if we would love to still sell Nikes.
Your Solebox Team"
you know we love nike-sneakers but i heard from a couple of other nike customers that they had some problems too. the quickstrike order had also delivery delay or was canceled although promissed.
Cheers to Hikmet and to all sneakerheads out there: support solebox - it's an institution!
