Impressions of Venice

Had a short trip to southern california last week. nice weather, delicious beer, sobes and some great burgers. la's traffic pissed me off, but venice beach was just amazing. skaters, punks, gang kids and hundreds of street artists in one place, mixed with beach atmosphere, music and the smell of chronic in the air... definitely a must-have-seen.

if you come to paint though, don't expect too much. the venice beach hall of fame consists of three tiny pieces of concrete with some really strict policies. you need a permission, painting is only allowed on weekends, and they register your name on a list.

check out my impressions.

CocoRosie - Werewolf live on TV

A friend of mine recommended Cocorosie, a band from the states, to me. their music does not fit any category - but it's really nice though or even because of this fact.

Love drips

a while ago i posted a top 5 list of my favorite graffiti fotologs. that was when a lot of people were still using flog. now most of the good ones vanished, many have been shut down, everyone is using flickr, streetfiles or has his own blog.
anyways, lovedrips, one of the flogs of my list, a collection of only dripping tags from all around the world has now come up with a fresh website. those italians seem to be more obsessed with litres of ink streaming down tiles and phone boxes than craig "krink" costello. check it out, they got some nice flicks and have just started...
